It’s a boy! First baby born at St. Croix Regional Medical Center in 2014
ST. CROIX FALLS - Megan and Kyle Filip of Frederic, WI, had something very special to celebrate during the first week of the New Year-- the birth of their son, Lane John Filip. Dr. Jeanine Brunclik delivered him on January 1, 2014 at 11:49 AM. Lane weighed 7 lbs., 15 ozs. and measured 18 inches long at birth. He has the honor of being the first baby born at SCRMC in 2014.
“This little guy is our second child born at St. Croix Regional,” said Megan. “He joins a sister, named Kinley, 17 months old. Our family physician, Dr. Brunclik, and Bonnie Springer, our OB nurse, were amazingly awesome during labor and delivery.”
“Our birthing suite is wonderful and the care we received during and after the birth was especially thoughtful. Everyone was able to answer all our questions and provide what was needed while still meeting our wishes for privacy. We really appreciated the little extras, like the special birthday lunch we enjoyed to celebrate our son’s birth. The gift basket as the First baby of the Year was an added surprise!”
As the parents of the first child born in 2014 at St. Croix Regional Medical Center, the proud and happy couple received a gift of a monogrammed pastel baby swaddle from the Medical Center, a gift basket for Mom and baby from the SCRMC Volunteer Partner’s Gift shop; a $50 Visa card from Central Bank of St. Croix Falls; a newborn one hour photo session with CD from Rene Weinzierl Photography; a $50 gift card from Marketplace Foods; Espresso tokens and mug from Julia’s Java; a Peek a Baby book from Tangen Drug; a $50 gift card, bag and piggy bank from Royal Credit Union; a gift bag from Wildwood Flowers; a half hour massage from SCRMC Massage Therapy; $100 gift card from WalMart, a $20 Holiday gas card, McDonald’s coupons, and a gift certificate for a spa experience for Mom from Majestic Falls Spa. We are grateful to these businesses for generously offering these gifts to celebrate the baby and the family of the first child of 2014.
