Free concert at Frederic features Pro Arte String Quartet
Note date change
FREDERIC - The critically acclaimed Pro Arte String Quartet will be in concert at the Frederic High School Monday evening, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.
The event is free and open to anyone. Please note the date - last week's information was incorrect. As a part of its educational and cultural mission, Frederic Arts is bringing a truly world class event to town. “If you haven’t been exposed to a classical ensemble, or even if you are not sure you like classical music, then this is an excellent chance to hear a high quality, professional string performance up close and personal without having to travel ... and it’s free," notes Jack Route, a Frederic Arts Board member. “We are indeed fortunate to be able to present this level of expertise to our area communities, and we hope folks will take advantage of this rare opportunity.” Also included in the engagement sponsored by Frederic Arts, the Pro Arte Quartet will hold a 2 p.m. performance/workshop for Frederic’s 7-12 music students. A component of the University of Wisconsin–Madison Arts Institute, the Arts Outreach
Program works hand in hand with the School of Music to share the expertise of its three faculty ensembles in residence with young musicians and community audiences around the state.
