Fluoride education seminars launch at SCF Public Library
ST. CROIX FALLS - A Fluoride Education Series featuring four scientific documentaries and round table discussions are scheduled for two dates in March. The screenings are free to the public and are shown in the spirit of friendly public discourse on the subject.
These documentaries highlight and preview new scientific evidence that fluoridating our public drinking water is causing detrimental effects on our bodies with the negatives outweighing possible benefits.
Hosted by Fluoride Free St Croix Falls, the dates lead up to a forthcoming Fluoride symposium (date TBA) hosted by The City of St Croix Falls to address the highly debated topic.
Organizer Casey Borchert says "These amazing documentaries feature respected scientists (including the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), leading researchers in the field, medical professionals, dentists and investigative reporters. They challenge the status quo and are informative as well as enjoyable to watch and discuss."
Schedule of events as follows:
March 24 at 4:00pm (two films and discussion, refreshments provided)
Special Screenings: The two documentaries, EPA Scientists Speak to Congress (28:32)and The Fluoride Deception (28:30) will be shown on Sunday, March 24 at 4:00pm at the St. Croix Falls Library

William Hirzy of NTEU 280 representing 11 Unions and more than 7000 employees at Washington DC EPA headquarters and Erik Olson representing the Natural Resources Defense Council testify before the Senate Subcommittee on drinking water regarding their call for an immediate moratorium on all fluoridation programs because of what he calls the proven link between ingested fluoride and caners.
The Fluoride Deception (28:30) In this video, award-winning journalist Christopher Bryson examines "one of the great secret narratives of the industrial era; how a grim workplace poison and the most damaging environmental pollutant of the cold war was added to our drinking water and toothpaste." That pollutant is fluoride. In this video, Bryson explains the findings of his highly-praised book, The Fluoride Deception. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council, "After reading Bryson's account of our national infatuation with fluoride, it's hard not to wonder how we could have ignored so serious an issue for so long."
March 28 at 6:30pm (two films and discussion, refreshments provided)
Special Screenings: The two documentaries, Professional Perspectives on Water Fluoridation (28:00) and Why I changed My Mind (28:30) will be shown onThursday, March 24 at 6:30pm at the St. Croix Falls Library
Professional Perspectives on Water Fluoridation (28:00) Featuring a Nobel Laureate in Medicine, three scientists from the National Research Council’s landmark review on fluoride, as well as dentists, medical doctors, and leading researchers in the field, this documentary presents a powerful indictment of the fluoridation program.
Why I changed My Mind (28:30) An interview by Professor Paul Connett with Dr. Hardy Limeback, BSc, PhD, DDS , Former President, Canadian Association for Dental Research regarding his change of heart and the facts and events leading up to his dramatic shift in his position. “For the past 15 years, I had refused to study the toxicology information that is readily available to anyone. Poisoning our children was the furthest thing from my mind. Your well-intentioned dentist is simply following 50 years of misinformation from public health and dental association. Me, too. Unfortunately, we were wrong.”
