GRANTSBURG - Wisconsin whitetail deer hunting expert and author of “Dominance is Everything” Bob Mercier will be teaching a seminar at Harvey Allen Outdoors in Grantsburg June 22.
Mercier will give hunters his take on deer behavior and how to use his unique D.I.E. system to bag a big buck.
The Harvey Allen Outdoor website offers this summary of Mercier’s knowledge of the whitetail:
“What Bob Mercier has learned from deer, are facts that tell the whole story of what deer think, how they communicate, and what they choose to do when facing uncertain circumstances. Bob teaches his readers and his seminar attendees how to walk like a deer, talk like a deer, and read sign like a deer. You forget you are human until you need to be human, and that is only when you are face-to-face with deer.”
Charlie and Lisa Slater, owners of Harvey Allen Outdoors, along with their family continually strive to add to the goods and services they offer to hunters and fisherman.
Recently the Slaters held a grand reopening of their store, which features quality used sporting goods along with Charlie’s custom hunting shacks and newly added custom-made picnic tables, outdoor furniture, and children’s playhouses.
“It was great to hear from so many folks when we reopened the store,” commented the Slaters.
The Slaters have also added an education center to their store, where, along with Mercier’s, other hunting and fishing seminars will be held.
“We are really excited about opening the new education center this summer,” said the Slaters. “We plan to have all types of classes on hunting and fishing topics.”
